Welcome to Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic
We will reopen the lobby to clients with
scheduled appointments on July 6, 2021.
We cannot thank everyone enough for their patience in waiting for us to reopen our lobby! We currently have a few employees who, due to health reasons, can not get vaccinated until the beginning of July. We do not feel it is worth our employee’s health to open sooner than July 6. Thank you for understanding.
When you call to make your appointment, our schedulers will ask you if you want to be seen curbside or if you want an in-clinic appointment. Please be sure to tell them which type of appointment you prefer.
To maintain the safest environment possible that we can provide, we ask that all clients stay in their car when they arrive and please wait for a runner to come to your car. The runner will get you checked in. IF you have an in-clinic scheduled appointment, then someone will come and escort you into the building when your room is ready. Please wait in your vehicle. Even though our lobby is large, it can become very crowded very quickly. We ask that everyone please follow these guidelines to help prevent confusion.
Everyone entering the clinic must be masked and no more than 2 people allowed in the clinic per family.
If you do NOT have a scheduled appointment, you will be seen curbside and will not come into the clinic. These type of appointments include:
- Technician appointments–nail trims, anal gland expressions, removing sutures, etc.
- Walk-In appointments
- Emergency appointments–it will be up to the doctor’s discretion on if you will be allowed inside the clinic
- Pet Pick Up
- Medication or Food Pick Up
We ask clients to remain on-site in your vehicle during your pet’s appointment so that they are immediately available should we have any questions and in order to return your pet as quickly as possible. The doctor will visit with you about your pet either at your car or by phone (that will be up to the doctor).
We ask that when you make the appointment you please give us a credit card to place on file to run after your animal is seen. The card will be processed when your animal is returned to your vehicle.
Prescriptions and medications dispensed in house will be brought to your car when your pet is returned.
Thank you for your understanding!
Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic’s mission is to provide our clients the best value in veterinary service and ensure our patients receive the highest level of comfort and care. Founded in 1993 as a two doctor practice serving the Dripping Springs area, our mixed animal practice has evolved and expanded into a multi-doctor veterinary hospital. Our experienced veterinarians and staff offer a multitude of services.
Companion animals, horses, livestock and exotic hooved stock compose the variety of patients seen at our veterinary practice. Clinical services offered are examinations, vaccinations, health screens and in house laboratory testing. Routine surgical procedures as well as extensive dentistry and certain orthopedic repairs are performed daily. We also offer special procedures such as artificial inseminations, endoscopy and ultrasound.
